Connecting to a central management system (OCPP)
The Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) is an application protocol for communication between Electric vehicle charging stations and a central management system, also known as a charging station network.
To connect your charger to a third party online management system for monitoring and billing purposes you need to:
- Set up internet connection (via Ethernet, Wi-Fi or 4G Sim).
- Refer to OCCP service provider of your choice and obtain the instruction for registration and receive parameters (like Charge Box ID and Server URL)
- Use laptop to connect to the charger (via Ethernet or charger Wi-Fi), log into Web Configuration Tool* and commission the charger (refer to section 3.1 & 3.2 of manual), in configuration page set the charger to operate with OCPP system with those parameters, and set the internet connection setting (Refer to section 3.3 of manual).
Connecting to Everty as a recommended central management system
To connect your charger to Everty dashboard, as a cloud-base management system recommended by Delta
- Set up internet connection (via Ethernet, Wi-Fi or 4G Sim).
- Create an account on Everty registration page, then you will receive an instruction from Everty
- Use laptop to connect to the charger (via Ethernet or charger Wi-Fi), log into Web Configuration Tool* and commission the charger base on instruction you received from Everty (refer to section 3.1 & 3.2 of manual), in configuration page select One-Touch setting with OCPP Central System and set the parameters you received from Everty, and set the internet connection setting (Refer to section 3.3 of manual).
*Web Configuration Tool is your local access to the setting of charger to do commissioning, firmware upgrade, log file download, etc.
